My Weight Gain Progress

Ahh...the first week of holidays... Just what the doctor prescribed. Waking up to the smell of coffee and all.

As usual, twice per week the gym session goes on. Plus all the overload on carbohydrates, protein, and the usual heavy snacking in between. I can't physically (or visually) verify the weight gained, but finally, when I see those two digits "4" and "5" beside the "kg", that was the best eye candy yet.

I am tempted to perform more sets and reps, but since it's weight gain I'm concerned about, I had to really limit the workout in case I do too much and I lose back all that extra kgs achieved.
Call me an adrenaline/serotonin/endorphin junkie, but all the chemical effects of gym training gives one a kind of high, and gives a certain mental strength to make us forget all stress.

A run-down of my usual haunting of the gym includes repititions of 6 counts on each arms, of weight 6 kilos (lbs? didn't bother to check), followed by 10 sit-ups, 10 crunches, squats, 1 minute of obliques both sides, and finally dumbell flys, followed by 1 minute of "buffer" or rest period.

By semester end, hopefully the red digits would read "48" or anything closer to acceptable weight. But, even if it can't be reached, it's the process that counts. AND also the fact that I know it's benefiting my health. That itself is the best wealth, the best happiness that I could gain from hitting the gym.
